IMPORTANT RECALL NOTICE regarding your COSCO Touriva Car Seat
Cosco Inc. is recalling 206,353 units of Cosco's Touriva T-Shield convertible child car seats because under test lab conditions the buckles on some of the units tested were in violation of the post-test buckle release pressure standard. Only Touriva T-Shield models 02-084, 02-094, 02-096, 02-404, 02-821 manufactured between May 1, 1996 and November 26, 1997 are affected. No reports of injuries have been received and parents can continue using this car seat. Cosco will provide a replacement buckle release assembly free of charge. Check the label on the side of the product for the manufacturing date and one of the model numbers listed above. Consumers can call Cosco toll free at 1-800-221-6736 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, or fill out the following form and submit it to Cosco to receive the free buckle release assembly. Cosco can help consumers identify whether their car seat is involved in this recall.
