Associate Forecast Analyst

Dorel Juvenile Group is looking for an Associate Forecast Analyst to join the Design and Development Center in Foxboro, MA. 

Produce Demand and Sales forecast. Input forecast data into forecasting software as well as maintain database. Publish weekly demand forecasts to the purchasing and planning teams.  Compare weekly Point-of-Sale (POS) reports versus prior forecasts to determine variances that require adjustments to future forecasts and to the production schedules. Use POS information to guide trend forecasting.  Prepare reports for monthly Executive forecast meeting. Participate in discussions that guide financial decisions.  Prepare and publish mid-month variance reporting to communicate significant variance to plan.  Coordinate weekly Product Availability Meetings to ensure product development teams and sales teams are communicating status of upcoming product launches and product delays.  Assist product development teams with anticipated volumes on future product launches. Assist Sales and Finance on annual budgeting process.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience using Demand Solutions software and Excel.  Minimum of 1-2 years in planning, purchasing, or a related field.  Preferably has an understanding of retailer and distributor interactions with regard to sales, planning, purchasing, and inventory.  Must have strong problem solving skills and enjoy working with multiple functional groups in order to complete projects. Must be comfortable with cross-checking multiple sources to determine the best solution.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  Must be a team player!
