Vice President, Sales
Dorel Juvenile is looking for a Vice President of Sales to join the leadership team at the Design and Development Center in Foxboro, MA. This position reports to the President & CEO.
Develop, communicate, manage and execute strategic sales business plans and processes in order to increase financial margin responsibility for both the top and bottom line numbers. Develop and implement targeted solutions for expanding the customer base and establishing greater market share/penetration, especially with dot com. Monitor, track, analyze and evaluate profit margin, revenue stream, program costs, sales methods, expenses and overall results and take corrective action when plan is below target. Establish pricing policies and schedules, including volume discounts and terms and conditions for top accounts. Manage and lead internal Sales team through interaction, coaching and reviews with team members. Develop strong working relationships cross functionally in order to deliver on established sales business plan objectives. Maintain and strengthen customer relationships and act as Sales contact for customers as well as for Reps. Stay abreast and knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies.
Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA experience. Knowledge of the consumer products retail industry required, juvenile background with mass market/specialty experience preferred. Minimum of 12 years experience in a consumer product sales environment necessary. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing relationships internally with the Marketing department and externally with key accounts. Must be able to manage both internal and external sales force. Proven ability to drive maximum sales volumes for accounts as well as drive both short and long term sales goals to increase overall profitability for the company. Excellent analytical and strategic decision making skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on strong presentation skills. Innate financial acumen a must. Must be able to lead by envisioning the future, engaging others, energizing people and enabling self and others to develop and execute plans to deliver strategy.
