Dorel Juvenile is looking for a Product Manager to join the Premium Brands team in Foxboro, MA. The Product Manager will be responsible for short/mid-term management and development of the category line to increase market share and contribution to sales and margin.
The Product Manager will drive the development and marketing efforts for a multi-year product road map including product line strategies, product solutions, merchandising concepts, full product line financial management and product launch plans. Work closely with the core competency center (in Israel) on brand positioning and consistency, compliance with US consumer, regulatory and market needs and drive marketing activities such as research, communications, graphics, packaging and product development. Help define marketing (brand/products/solutions) vision and strategy for the category line. Identify product, merchandising, and cost opportunities based on in-depth analysis of trends, consumer and market data as well as sales and retailer feedback. Continuously stimulate the generation of market information and information about consumer, sales, retailer, global and stakeholder needs. Conduct market analysis as well as create briefs for qualitative and quantitative research. Assist to create product briefs for new or modified products to achieve the primary marketing and brand goals & objectives. Manage and champion projects with cross-functional and global team members. Drive product development/modification schedule from concept through production to ensure compliance to North American standards, consumer and retail requirements to meet specified time lines and cost/price goals. Responsible for meeting team sales and profit goals and is accountable for the execution of all product development documentation deliverables, timelines, and costs of the products. Lead the product development process providing project schedules, updates through the product availability process, and provide clear communication to external resources and manufacturing partners. Participate in the creation and implementation of the 3-year road maps. Work closely with marketing communications team on product related content and product campaigns. Support both sales and key retail accounts by providing brand/product/merchandising plans, product knowledge and help to plan promotions.
Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field along with 5 – 8 years’ experience in a similar fast paced marketing environment, preferably in consumer goods. Must be able to make decisions independently. Must be a creative individual who can come up with new ideas or a combination of existing work methods/solutions of his/her own accord. Must be a strong team player with excellent organization and communication skills. Must be able to create and develop an internal and external network in the interests of achieving the organization’s goals. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
