Dorel Juvenile Group Launches Redesigned Websites
New Features Include Customized Childproofing Checklist and Video, Car Seat Selector and MoreFOXBORO, MASS. (November 7, 2007) - Dorel Juvenile Group USA (DJG USA), an operating subsidiary of Dorel Industries, Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A) and a leading manufacturer and marketer of juvenile products, has unveiled its newly designed websites - safety1st.com, coscojuvenile.com, djgusa.com/eddiebauer and djgusa.com - offering enhanced options such as downloadable product instructions, enlargeable product images, the option to shop by category, age, room, fashion collection or new products, a Childproof Your Home Checklist, Childproofing Video and more.
"After months of strategic planning and development, we are pleased to be able to make these updated sites available to our valued customers and retailers to better accommodate their interests and needs," said Dave Taylor, President and CEO, DJG USA.
Dorel's new online Childproof Your Home Checklist helps determine what types of home childproofing products are needed. Viewers choose rooms they wish to childproof, enter the room's size, and a checklist of childproofing products is provided for use in store or for buying online from one of Dorel's retailers. Available in both English and Spanish, Dorel's new Childproofing Video takes viewers room by room through an average home, pointing out potential hazards and how childproofing products can help prevent accidental household injuries.
Parents can also submit photos of their child's "firsts" on the "Share Your 1st" Bulletin Board, a virtual bulletin board. And by entering a child's age, height and weight on Dorel's online Car Seat Selector, viewers get a customized list of suitable car seats. Safety 1st and Foremost, Dorel's free monthly enewsletter, offers resourceful articles and new product information, and consumers can share photos and letters about how their lives have been impacted by one of Dorel's products on the virtual "Shining Star Wall". The websites were designed by WhiteSpace Creative.
"We have designed these new Dorel sites to be interesting to view, easy to navigate, and importantly, to offer the latest in interactive tools and essential product and safety information that people have come to expect and rely on from Dorel's Safety 1st brand," Taylor said.
