Dorel Juvenile Group Launches New Booster Seat in Time for Holiday Travel

FOXBORO, MASS. (December 5, 2007) - Dorel Juvenile Group USA (DJG USA), a part of Dorel Industries Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A) and a leading manufacturer and marketer of juvenile products, has launched the Cosco Pronto!^TM booster seat for children 30 to 100 pounds. A belt-positioning booster for children 30 to 100 pounds, the Cosco pronto! seat easily converts to a backless booster for children 40 to 100 pounds. It features a slide-out cup holder, comfortable armrests, adjustable height positions, and a removable, washable car seat pad. A child's age, weight, and height should be considered when choosing a car seat. Children four to eight years are ill suited for only lap belt restraints which can potentially cause life-threatening injury to young children during an accident. A booster seat, used with a lap/shoulder seat belt, reduces this risk by ensuring that the vehicle seat belt is properly positioned across the child's lap and chest.
