DJG Center Front Adjuster Safety Recall:
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my car seat not included in this recall?
Your car seat falls outside the affected manufacture dates and platforms that exhibited the issue of the harness strap potentially loosening during use.
How often will the lubricant (oil) need to be applied to the center front adjuster?
DJG has performed extensive testing and the one-time lubrication (oil) will last beyond the recommended life of the car seat. Always snugly adjust the harness on your child and pull on the harness to ensure it is properly secure (locked).
Will hot and cold temperature variations affect the performance of the lubricant (oil)?
The oil is recommended for use in both hot and cold temperatures and our testing has confirmed temperature variations will not affect this lubricant.
Is it a problem if the lubricant (oil) gets on the harness strap or harness release lever?
No, we conducted in-depth testing on the application of excessive lubricant (oil) being placed on the harness strap and the harness release lever and our testing confirmed the center front adjuster worked properly.
How can I be sure the lubricant (oil) reaches the proper area of the center front adjuster?
The lubricant is free flowing oil and requires very little application of this oil to the center front adjuster to ensure no future issues will occur. Our testing indicates the lubricant (oil) will reach the proper area of the center front adjuster as long as the instructions explaining the lubricant (oil) application are followed.
